How to choose a portable building in Natchez

Start with the job, then the size, then the style. Every building on this lot is finished at the factory in Purvis and delivered whole. No kits. No one building it in your yard.

Match the job to a size

Sizes are width by length in feet. A 10x12 is ten feet wide and twelve feet deep. These are starting points for Natchez-area yards. If the first size feels tight once you stand in it, step up.

  • Yard tools. Hand tools, a push mower, gas cans, and totes. Start with an 8x12.
  • Mower plus storage. A riding mower and still room to walk around it. Start with a 10x12. A 10x16 is the next step if you also want a shelf wall.
  • Workshop or cabin. A bench, a golf cart, or a room you can stand and work in. Start at 12x24 and go up through 12x28 and 12x32.

See what is actually sitting on the gravel on Natchez stock. Photos are the building itself, not a drawing.

The styles people actually compare

  • Utility. Straight gable roof and a clear floor. The everyday building for a mower, a workbench, or both.
  • Tool shed. Same idea as a utility, with shorter sidewalls. The lower-priced way to lock up tools.
  • Lofted barn. Gambrel roof and an overhead loft. More room to store seasonal gear without taking a bigger pad.
  • Garden shed. Higher roof, shutters, and a flower box. Built to sit beside a garden, not just behind the house.
  • Cabin. A cabin front with a door and windows. The one to look at when the job is a workshop or an extra room, usually 12x24 and up.

A lofted barn wins when you want overhead storage. A utility wins when you want the floor open. Walk both before you decide. The full list is on styles.

Questions buyers ask

What size portable building do I need?

Match the job, then stand inside one on the Natchez lot. Yard tools start at an 8x12. A riding mower plus room to store more starts at a 10x12. A workshop or cabin starts at 12x24 and goes up from there.

Utility, tool shed, or lofted barn — which fits?

A tool shed is the economical pick for tools, with shorter sidewalls. A utility is the workhorse when you want a clear floor and room to work. A lofted barn adds an overhead loft on a similar footprint, so you gain storage without a bigger pad.

Can I rent to own with no credit check?

Yes. Most buildings on the lot are rent to own with no credit check. You can also pay cash. Apply from the building page or ask on the lot.

How far is free delivery from Natchez?

Free delivery and set-up within 50 miles of 557 Hwy 61 North. That covers Vidalia, Ferriday, Fayette, Port Gibson, and the towns in between. Farther out, we quote the extra miles.

Do you sell kits or build on my lot?

No. These are finished factory-built buildings from the Cook plant in Purvis, Mississippi. No kits and no on-site builds. We deliver the building whole and set it on your level pad.
